Arriving at Harbour Island
Our adventure begins with a short, scenic flight north of Bimini, over the Berry Islands and Royal Island. The weather is perfect, promising a smooth journey. Since I'll be with the bride all day, I'll grab a golf cart for tomorrow and hop into a taxi with Solomon to head to the Pink Sands Resort. I'm staying in a beach house called "Lammert," a lovely 3.5-bedroom spot with two other event coordinators. It feels very welcoming and homey. Inside, it's fully furnished with a beachy, nautical theme, complete with stripes, palm trees, and a full kitchen perfect for entertaining. There's a dining room for games or great conversations. Upstairs, you'll find a sitting area with a TV and another bedroom. My room is painted pink, matching my luggage, and features a veranda with fans and a beautiful ocean view.
Wedding Day Preparations
I'm now at the bride's house, "Bimini," which has a gorgeous Jacuzzi overlooking the water. It's time to start hair and makeup. The bride looks absolutely stunning! While I got some quick snapshots, I'll be sharing the professional photos later, as they always capture the magic best. After finishing with the bride, I'm going for a sunset walk. I need to be back by 8 PM for a quick touch-up on her hair and makeup to keep her looking beachy and beautiful. She's changing into a white Halston dress for the reception, which I'm really excited about.

Day Two: Island Exploration
Good morning! It's day two on Harbour Island, and I have the whole property to myself as guests are leaving today. I'm leaving tomorrow, so I have this beautiful, sunny day to enjoy. First, I'm heading to Coral Sands for breakfast. Yesterday, sea kayaking and snorkeling looked so refreshing, so I'm hoping to try that today. I'll take a long walk on the beach after breakfast. I'm not sure how much I can film while in the ocean, but we'll see. Tonight, I have dinner at the marina, with cocktails at 6:30 PM. I'll grab a golf cart to head over there and show you something a bit different from Pink Sands.
A Walk on the Beach
After breakfast, I took a long, power walk, enjoying the beautiful weather. It's May, so it's not too hot yet. A wonderful surprise on my walk was seeing horses on the beach – it's such a surreal and grounding experience, connecting with nature and the ocean.
Ocean Dip and Beach Essentials
That was the best dip in the ocean I've had in ages! It's funny, as a native Floridian, we don't go to the beach often. The last time I was in the ocean was in Aruba in 2013. I really need to get in the water more; it's so relaxing. My hair is salty, and my bathing suit is full of sand. I'm wearing a Lily Pulitzer one-piece, which is a good choice for these waves, unlike a bikini that might not stay on. I'm also reading "Make It Happen," our IVF book club's May pick. I'm almost done and plan to re-read it. I've highlighted so much; whoever gets my copy will think I wanted to highlight the whole book!
For sun protection, I'm using a leave-in treatment from C-suite (made by L'Oreal) that protects my hair from drying out. I also have "Hang Ten" SPF 50, a natural sunscreen, which I apply to my face because I'm very fair. With the white sand and reflective sun, it's important to protect my skin, especially since I'm so pale. I'll definitely get some sun today, but I wanted to show you what I brought in my beach bag. I also found the latest issue of Glamour magazine in the house, which I'll read while chilling with a refreshing cocktail.
Exploring Beyond Pink Sands
Now, I'm heading out from Pink Sands on the golf cart to see what else is happening. It's always interesting trying to vlog and drive a golf cart, especially remembering to drive on the left side of the road. I found my way out and am heading to the marina. I'm going to have a cocktail on one of the yachts. It's gorgeous here and reminds me a bit of Verona, Italy, perhaps because of the yellow cabanas. It's a perfect ending to a perfect day.
Departure from Paradise
It's time to leave Harbour Island. I had such a wonderful time with the beautiful weather. It looks like it might rain now, so I'm glad I'm leaving today.
