Living in South Florida, I wear linen all year long. It’s one of my favorite fabrics to wear. We have such high humidity that wearing a cool, breathable fabric like linen is ideal. It’s also very chic, as seen on the island of Capri from Jacki O to Grace Kelly.
I am stepping out in today’s blog with a gorgeous burnt orange plunge V-neck Midi linen dress. It’s ultra-flattering with the ruffle embellishment short sleeves and slim straight fitting silhouette. The belted waist and embroidered details make this dress ultra-feminine.
I love that I can throw on simple flip flops for a very casual look, or I can pair with metallic gold open-toe mules. Dressed up or down, this chic dress is perfect for a weekend getaway, trip to the islands, or a simple backyard dinner party.
I recently discovered this designer Patbo who scores 3 out of 5 by independent ethical brand rating agency Good On You. They have a mission to Do Good. Look Good. Feel Good. As we all know, the global fashion industry has a massive problem with pollution, waste, and human rights abuses. Good on You comprised of campaigners, fashion professionals, scientists, writers, and developers who have come together to drive that change we need in the industry. The Brazilian government has recognized this designer I am wearing today for her efforts in sustainability and female empowerment. She continues to help improve social conditions in Brazil and pave a new path for Brazilian fashion.
