I feel as a licensed Esthetician that face masks are overlooked when it comes to a weekly skincare routine. For the most part, women think from my experience in my skincare studio that a face mask is an “extra” or a time-waster, and not necessary. I think you are doing your skin a huge disservice by not including this step once or twice a week.
Let’s start with my favorite creamy ultra-hydrating face mask that I bought years ago. Natura Bisse Essential Shock Intense Mask. I am on my fifth or six tube of this mask purely because I was looking for a creamy, highly moisturizing mask, and this one delivers. Not only is it ultra-creamy, but it revitalizes and hydrates my skin like no other mask that I have used. Its infused with skin-brightening pineapple and vitamins. My face feels fresh, clean and plump. This is part of my morning ritual, you will catch me at my computer, coffee in hand with this face mask smeared to perfection all over my face.
Next on my facial mask list is Eve Lom Rescue Mask It’s for all skin types but specifically for acne and blemishes, oiliness, or uneven skin tone. I use this mask when my skin needs rescue from all the photoshoots, makeup, stress, and travel. Kaolin clay absorbs and controls excess oil and visibly reduces puffiness. It also has camphor to cool and lift debris and ground almonds to exfoliate gently. I love that they included honey to condition and refine my skin. Made without Parabens, Sulfates, and Phthalates.
Another gem of a face mask is also by Eve Lom called Radiance Transforming Mask, an intensive treatment that renews your skin. I love that it has a decadent texture and warms into a silk-like cushion. I put on a thin layer that feels like I am applying a thin layer of honey to my face. I keep it on for thirty minutes and then wash off with warm water. The mask will turn into a milky rinse leaving your skin radiant and super hydrated. The company says your skin will feel hydrated for up to six hours after use, and I can’t agree more. You can also use this as an overnight mask; it will support skins natural hydration for up to 72 hours.
If you are looking for lots of brightening, this Glowify face mask with an application brush is out of this world with its iridescent rose gold mineral mask formulation. It enlivens dull and dehydrated skin. It has a potent mix of botanicals with nourishing antioxidants to keep your skin looking bright and healthy. I love that rose flower is included in this formulation, along with Lactic acid and Wintergreen leaf extract. This mask is also free of all the nasty ingredients that you don’t want your skin absorbing the company has the leaping bunny stamp of approval.
