Carefree Affordable Holiday Weekend Style

I have been looking forward to Memorial Day weekend for weeks now. I push myself hard during season and Memorial weekend marks the beginning of summer for me. I mentioned in my last post that I plan special personal goals from this upcoming holiday weekend through Labor Day. I am excited to refocus, be present and enjoy the laid back summer.

If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen my post in March about the sale of the season from Boston Proper. They reached out to me about doing a sponsored post, and I was thrilled as I have a closet filled with their Parisian jackets. So naturally, I went over to their site to see what the Spring Sale was all about. I didn’t realize that their Spring sale was an additional 60% off of the sale price. I couldn’t believe it. I was right in the middle of shipping cosmetic orders and had to pause so I could take advantage of this sale. I know how fast sizes sell out and I didn’t want to miss a thing.

Styling for my photo shoots can get expensive, so when I saw gorgeous tropical dresses, flowy skirts, fun sassy tops, and jumpsuits a la Johanna Ortiz, I went a little crazy. I bought so many items that the company called to make sure I placed the order, true story. Ladies, this had nothing to do with the post that they wanted me to do, and this is not a sponsored blog post.

This adorable polka dot top I am wearing I bought for $5.99 yes, please re-read that $5.99!!!!! The spring sale in March is over BUT for Memorial Day they have an additional 50% off sale items. This top comes out to be $7.49 and there are three sizes left. The style is a poplin off the shoulder with a sweetheart neckline. It is lined and has front support boning with grip tape and hidden back zipper. I am wearing a size 6 and fits true to size. To give definition and to break up the polka dot I tied a striped sash around my waist.

For a more relaxed style for maybe a barbeque, I changed up the shoes to these super fun black canvas espadrille wedges. They are on sale now with 40% off and came the day before my shoot; they fit perfectly and true to size. These cute wedges will be a staple in my summer wardrobe.
