This video walks you through a quick and easy everyday makeup routine, perfect for busy women who want to look put-together with minimal effort. It focuses on simple steps and a few key products to achieve a natural, polished appearance.

Key Takeaways

  • Prep is Key: Start with eye makeup remover pads to ensure a clean base and use an eye primer to neutralize eyelids and make eyeshadow true to color.
  • Eyes First, Face Later: Apply eye makeup before foundation and concealer to easily clean up any fallout.
  • Less is More: Opt for minimal eye makeup, focusing on natural tones and blending.
  • Mascara Magic: Apply mascara from the base of the lashes, wiggling upwards, to create the illusion of a fuller lash line, especially if you skip eyeliner.
  • Brow Definition: Use a brow pencil to fill in sparse areas and define the shape, keeping it natural.
  • Concealer & Foundation Strategy: Apply concealer to brighten and even out the under-eye area, blending with your fingers for a natural finish. Use a lightweight, serum-like foundation for a polished look.
  • Quick Face Sculpting: Use bronzer for subtle contouring and a light blush on the apples of the cheeks.
  • Lip Essentials: A waterproof lip liner and a natural-toned lipstick or gloss are perfect for an everyday look.
  • Skincare Integration: Incorporate a simple skincare routine with cleanser, exfoliating pads, moisturizer, and SPF for a healthy base.

Starting with Skincare and Eye Prep

My day starts with a simple skincare routine. I begin by washing my face with the Ever Purifying Cleanser. Then, I use the Ever Peel Pads for a gentle exfoliation. These pads help prep my skin for the next steps. After that, I apply the Ever Hydralift Oil-Free moisturizer, which feels light and doesn't weigh my face down. For my eyes, I use Almay Eye Makeup Remover Pads. I love these because they're oil-free and really help clean up any residual mascara. I keep one pad aside to clean up eyeshadow fallout later.

Priming and Eyeshadow

Next, I move on to my eyes. I can't live without my Fresh Beauty Studio Eye Primer in light-medium. It neutralizes any darkness on my eyelids and gives a nice, powdery finish without looking too white or too dark. I apply it all the way up to my brow bone. This step is important because it makes my eyeshadow colors appear true to their shade. I'm also experimenting with growing out my brows using Grande Brow Serum, so I'm not plucking them right now.

For eyeshadow, I use the "Bottled Blonde" Eye shadow palette. It's highly pigmented but gives a very natural look. I take the metallic silver shade and pat it onto the middle of my lid, up to the crease. It’s a minimal application, just to add a little something. Then, I take a different brush and use the darker contour color on the outer corner of my eye. I just pat a little bit on, and then I blend it out with the same brush. It’s a very simple contour, nothing too dramatic. For a little highlight, I use the lightest color from the palette on my brow bone. After applying the eyeshadow, I take that Almay pad I saved earlier and clean up any fallout underneath my eyes. This gives a nice, crisp look to the eyeshadow.

Mascara and Brows

I don't usually wear eyeliner during the week, so I focus on my mascara. I use Chanel Volume Mascara. The trick is to get to the base of your lashes and wiggle upwards. I almost blink down as I apply it to ensure every lash gets coated. This technique helps create the appearance of a fuller, denser lash line. I've been using this mascara for about two years and find it hard to switch. If I want a little darkness on my lower lash line, I might take the dark contour shadow and lightly sweep it underneath, but it's not a must.

For my brows, I use the IT Cosmetics Universal Brow Pencil in universal taupe. It has a spoolie on the end, which is great for brushing through my brows. I just brush them up a bit, fill in any sparse spots, and give them a little shape. I'm not going for super-defined "Instagram brows"; I just want them to look fuller and more natural. I'm also using the Grande Brow Serum at night to help with growth.

Concealer and Foundation

Now for the face. I use Osmosis Concealer in the shade "Silk." It has a hydrating balm on one side and the concealer on the other, which is great for under the eyes. I apply a little concealer and then blend it down, creating an upside-down triangle shape to brighten the whole area. I prefer using my fingers to blend concealer and foundation because I like the skin-on-skin feel and can really work the product in without streaks. I avoid sponges and brushes as they can be hard to sanitize and sometimes cause breakouts for me.

For foundation, I use La Mer Soft Fluid Foundation SPF 20 in shade "Shell 11." It's a bit pricey, but a little goes a long way – literally one pump is enough for my whole face. It feels more like a serum and dries to a beautiful, silky finish. It really makes my skin look polished. I'm currently looking for a more affordable dupe for this foundation, so stay tuned!

Adding Color and Finishing Touches

To add some color, I use the "Classic Beach" Face Palette from Fresh Beauty Studio. It includes a bronzer, blush, and highlighter. For everyday, I usually just use the bronzer and blush. I apply the bronzer from the top of my ear, straight down, blending it well. Then, I take a light, peachy-golden blush and apply it to the apples of my cheeks, blending it back. This blush has a bit of a natural highlight in it, so I often skip a separate highlighter during the week.

For my lips, I use the Satin Waterproof Lip Liner and then layer either Chanel Lip Gloss #722 or #119. I also love Fresh Beauty Studio's "NikRay" Lipstick for an everyday natural color. The new applicator on the Chanel glosses is great for covering the whole lip.

Extra Tips and SPF

If you have sparser brows, the Grande Brow Fill can add dimension. For skincare, I also use the Ever Purifying Cleanser, Ever Peel Pads, and Ever Hydralift Oil-Free moisturizer. I also like to use a little La Mer The Eye Concentrate in the morning to help with dehydration and puffiness.

Finally, I finish with Color Science SPF 50 Face Powder. I just tap it on, especially on my T-zone, to set my makeup and control shine. It’s a loose mineral sunscreen that provides SPF 50 protection.

For red or irritated eyes, I highly recommend Rohto Eye Drops. They make my eyes look white and refreshed, which is great for models or anyone dealing with allergies.

This routine is all about keeping things simple and effective, using products that work well together to get you out the door looking polished and feeling confident.
