I haven’t overthought my athleisure wear until well, you know NOW. #StayHome has enlightened me in so many ways. I felt that my all black workout pant drawer was excellent until the dark color and lack of inspiration set in. Everywhere I turned from Instagram to YouTube, it was all about workout outfits. The problem was I didn’t want to spend $125 on a pair of leggings, but I wanted to revive my workout wear. I spent hours looking at Nordstrom’s sale, Nordstrom Rack, workout wear subscription services, Carbon38 (site is to die for, but so are the prices), and nothing was jumping out at me with color, excitement or inspiration. I wanted bright, fun, and affordable. Finally, I found these pants on sale!
I have been buying the most bizarre things on Amazon (more on that later), and I decided to plug in “women’s high waisted workout pants” in the search bar. I wasn’t surprised to see a million options with subpar quality. One particular listing did grab my attention; I clicked on it and was thrilled with almost twenty inspirational styles to choose from all in one listing. It’s tough to figure out online how the material feels if it’s going to be too thick, too hot, too tight, and I don’t want to deal with having to send anything back. I took a chance on these pink and gray workout pants and so happy that I did. They came yesterday (super fast shipping) popped them out of the package, they felt soft and slinky. I held them up to my waist and said: “Perfect; these will work.” I threw them into the wash and couldn’t wait to work out the next morning. Note about the sizing: I bought size M they tell you in the listing that the pants would come with the tag saying large. Make sure you look at their sizing chart so you don’t get confused when you are placing your order or are surprised when they come.
I woke up today excited that I had a new pair of bright workout pants to put on. New workout pants might sound silly to some people, but I need all the motivation and positive vibes I can get to stay motivated to work out, especially now. Not only are these workout pants ridiculously inexpensive, but they are also so comfortable. My workouts range from spinning, Pilates, running with my Frenchie girls, as you can see in the picture above and rowing. They are just thin enough to feel like I am not suffocating my legs and are not tight or itchy. I love the high waist, and it doesn’t pinch or ride up. You can’t compare these pants to Lululemon or the Carbon38’s of the world, but if you are looking to give a little life and color to your workouts right now, these are a great option that won’t fall apart after two washes.
I also love that the pant legs are long and wrap around your foot. I can wear these for my Pilates reformer classes that I do on my machine at home or wear them for night time yoga from my app. I ended up purchasing three more pairs that I have featured below. Now when I wake up and I feel like meh, I reach for these high vibes, colorful pants, and get my butt in my home gym.
